Bright, light yellow. Stone fruits, flowers and a whiff of oak on the nose. Dense, fine-grained and energetic; quite dry and classic but the wine's oak element is currently suppressing its fruit. Finishes a bit phenolic and long. - VM

A complex, pure and ripe nose features cool aromas of white peach, pear, citrus and floral elements. There is excellent intensity and punch to the tautly muscular medium weight plus flavors that possess plenty of mouth coating sap on the powerful, dry and citrus infused finish. This concentrated and overtly robust effort flirts with rusticity yet the overall impression remains harmonious and impressively persistent. Note that considerable patience is going to be necessary for this tightly wound effort to arrive at its full apogee. - BH

The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru le Porusot will be the last vintage with the parcel of old vines in Le Porusot (the next vintage will be just the parcel in Porusots Dessous). It has a refined bouquet with touches of wild mint and yellow flower infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is very refined, very charming with a keen line of acidity and hints of tropical fruit; but again, it's the mineral tension, the nervosité on the finish that really marks this wine. - WA
