Shimmering ruby. Incisive, mineral-accented black raspberry, cherry, violet and olive scents show fine definition and an exotic spice flourish. Densely packed but vibrant dark berry preserve and spicecake flavors are complemented by a candied violet accent; a smoky nuance emerges with aeration. Shows excellent concentration but comes off lithe, finishing with assertive mineral cut, harmonious tannins and excellent, floral-dominated persistence.
